The Utility Expo 2023: CM Labs to introduce Wheeled Excavator, Walkaround Inspection, and latest Instructor Operating Station

CM Labs’ latest scalable simulation solutions train for high-risk procedures in a safe environment, improving technical expertise and increasing line operator productivity.

Montreal, QC, Sept 20th — CM Labs Simulations, global simulation training provider in the construction and ports industries, today announced plans to debut new training solutions at The Utility Expo 2023, September 26-28, Louisville, Kentucky. The new training solutions offer the opportunity for organizations, employers, and line worker schools in the Utility market to address critical workforce safety, training, and recruitment issues.

“With the ongoing need for qualified labor, now, more than ever before, CM Labs’ customers need the best possible operator learning outcomes,” said Lisa Barbieri, VP of Marketing and Strategic Relations. “The ultra realism of our simulation and advanced reporting insights will future-proof Utility training programs and recruitment needs by addressing long-term training needs.”

These insights are possible due to the company’s unique Smart Training Technology. Comprised of proprietary and patented algorithms, the simulation training is based on real data and authentic machine behavior that interact with their environment and materials just as they do in the real world.

“Our simulations ensure training teams have the flexibility to mobilize line workers efficiently. With hot swappable controls, and quick jump starts between all simulated equipment, there is less time away from the worksite and no need to take equipment off contracts,” Davis Siu, CM Labs’ Product Manager explained. “The authentic replication of equipment and simulated risky situations means line operators can train for safety, in safety.”

CM Labs will demonstrate the full suite of simulation training products and feature several new products for the Utility market at East Hall, Booth 2227. New introductions will include the following.

  • Simulation training for Wheeled Excavator – focus on situational awareness and reduce safety risks within a dense urban environment. Training Pack includes heavy duty bucket, and narrow tiltrotator, with live attachment change exercise.
  • Sneak peek of Walkaround Inspection featuring Excavator – train for this vital step that directly impacts jobsite safety and productivity. Includes training on identifying and spotting issues on equipment.
  • Support training programs with Intellia Instructor – enables trainers to monitor, assess, and engage trainees via tablet or single workstation, personalized learning paths, updated metrics reporting, as well as new administrator functionalities.

CM Labs wide range of earthmoving and lifting Simulation Training Packs include for Digger Derrick, Boom Truck, Telehandler, Compact Track Loader, Rough Terrain Crane, Backhoe, Forklift, and the newly released Wheeled Excavator.
