The Rough Terrain Crane Simulator Training Pack (also known as a mobile crane) is a complete training tool for operator training. It covers the entire lift process, from lift plans to controls familiarization to complex lifts (such as lifting steel structures, working in buildings, and work around power lines) in a risk-free training environment.
The mobile crane simulator training pack provides in-depth assessment capabilities and progressive learning exercises for both novices and experienced operators.
It’s a powerful tool for every stage of the workforce development cycle, from operator training and assessment to cross-skilling.
The training pack’s exercises are designed to gradually build skills and objectively assess operator performance.
Trainers have the ability to fully evaluate operator readiness with a new Rough Terrain Crane Skills Assessment exercise. The training program allows operators to train for complex lifts and scenarios, such as blind lifts, recovering from a load pendulum, and girder lifts.
The training pack features progressive learning exercises—from beginner to advanced—designed to gradually build operator skill and confidence. The following training scenarios are included:
- Controls familiarization
- LMI configuration and alarms
- Hook and load management and pendulum control
- Unloading materials on the worksite
- Moving loads within the building site
- Working inside a building
- Changing part of line with pulley block
- Practice CCO test courses
- Skills assessment
Novices learn the fundamentals of load charts, complex lifts, and selecting and using different parts of line. They’ll also learn the fundamentals of safety systems including anti-2-block, outrigger placement, and operating in poor weather conditions.
