You Work as a Team, so Why Not Include Signalperson in Your Team Training?
Collaborative learning builds effective teams. From job planning to after-action review, the signalperson training module allows novice operators to train together to develop effective teamwork and communication skills. While one trainee operates the training pack equipment on a simulator, another uses the training module to work cooperatively within the virtual jobsite, providing signals and guiding the operation through to successful completion via webcam and picture-in-picture display. The Intellia Signalperson Add-On Module works either with one or two simulators simultaneously.*
Embedding the signalperson in a working simulation increases trainee engagement and motivation, making this the most effective platform for them to learn:
Correct signaller positioning
Proper load trajectory
Proper hand signal delivery
Safe direction of lift operations
Train to Worksite Standards
With the Signalperson Add-On Module, trainees learn critical worksite skills such as communication and teamwork, in a safe environment.
Trainees can move around the worksite to inspect the lifting area, recognize potential hazards, gain a clear view of activities, and provide hand signals to the crane operator.
Together, they either fail as a team—or succeed as a team. The result: new operators that are simply better prepared for any jobsite.
Our Intellia Training Packs feature self-guided, progressive learning programs and best-in-class simulation for a full suite of heavy equipment. With comprehensive operator metrics and detailed reporting, they provide the most comprehensive simulation training available on the market.
When the Operating Engineers Training Institute of Ontario (OETIO) modernized their training classrooms with next-generation Vortex simulators and instructor stations for operator training, the benefits ranged from faster practical training time to increased trainee engagement and more.
Watch the video below shows the full story of OETIO’s success with Vortex simulators.
