CM Labs to Demonstrate Ground Vehicle and Maritime Simulation Capabilities at I/ITSEC 2016

Company to reveal major evolution to software platform and showcase innovative training simulation systems developed by customers Doron Precision Systems and MARIN at booth #2270.

CM Labs, a global provider of simulation and visualisation solutions for personnel training and virtual equipment prototyping, announced today the solutions on display at its booth #2270 during the I/ITSEC annual conference, from November 28 to December 2, 2016, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.

Visitors to CM Labs’ booth will be able to experience the full breadth of its simulation and visualisation technology, with two training simulation systems powered by CM Labs’ software platform. Designed by Doron Precision Systems and by Maritime Research Institute Netherlands (MARIN), the simulators will allow visitors to experience the high level of realism and immersion delivered by CM Labs’ technology in the defense sector.

Doron’s 550Truckplus simulator recreates the interior cabin of a full range of military and civilian land vehicles, providing a complete driving experience that maximises user engagement. It will display CM Labs’ engineering-grade vehicle simulation engine and rich image generation system by allowing visitors to operate a simulated MRAP all-terrain vehicle in a perimeter patrol scenario.

The MARIN ship bridge simulator will put users at the helm of a wide range of sea-going vessels, ranging from barge-sized tugboats to seaworthy tanker vessels. Visitors will be tasked to navigate the Milford Haven waterway, UK’s largest energy port. The simulator is powered by MARIN’s DOLPHIN platform, which combines CM Labs’ multibody dynamics engine, desktop applications and image generator with MARIN’s internally-developed hydrodynamics engine. It showcases the flexibility and extensibility of CM Labs’ simulation platform.

Attendees can also get a look at the technology powering both simulators by visiting the simulation workstation demo area on CM Labs booth, where CM Lab’s simulation and visualization software will be on display. Designed to provide a flexible and reusable simulation framework, it supports the development of virtual training systems for tactical wheeled and tracked vehicles, as well as for logistics and engineering equipment. With increased pressure to achieve more with military budgets, CM Labs’ simulation software provides a cost-effective solution for driver trainer program development. CM Labs will also unveil major news regarding its software solution at I/ITSEC. Attendees are invited to visit CM Labs’ booth to learn more.
