CM Labs Showcases Latest Innovations at TOC23 Europe Booth #E36

CM Labs Simulations, a leading vendor for simulation-based training in the construction and ports industries, today announced its participation at TOC23 Europe. During the event, CM Labs will be showcasing a range of fully immersive simulation-based solutions designed to help port terminals safely and effectively train operators and achieve faster returns on investment. The event will take place at Booth E36 from June 13th to June 15th.

Highlights include the Vortex Master, a 10-display motion simulator running the full line of port equipment training software, including an enhanced Ship-to-Shore (STS) Training Pack. Attendees are invited to visit the booth to meet CM Labs’ port experts and explore these and many other pioneering technologies, such as the MasterCab, now available to ship, and the Remote Operating Station (ROS) simulator.

“With the ever-increasing pressure on the supply chain, ports and terminals require skilled operators who can efficiently and effectively navigate standard, as well as unique and unpredictable environments,” stated Devon Van de Kletersteeg, CM Labs’ Product Manager for Ports. “CM Labs is committed to addressing this need by offering innovative next-generation port simulation training solutions that provide a fully immersive experience, like the MasterCab and enhanced STS crane simulator training pack.”

The heart of CM Labs’ technology lies in its physics-based core, which powers the most advanced and lifelike simulation experience for operators working both quay-side and yard-side equipment. The company will feature the following technology during the show:

  • A wide range of hardware options, from desktop solutions to full immersive solutions, like the MasterCab. The MasterCab training platform combines outstanding hardware design, a comprehensive catalog of training modules, and the powerful simulation engine, creating a fully immersive operator experience that meets CM Labs’ stringent quality and durability standards.
  • The extensive family of training packs, covering a variety of equipment, including ship-to-shore crane (STS), straddle carrier, empty container handler, reach stacker, ship pedestal crane, mobile harbor crane, among others. The company ensures seamless compatibility, allowing all construction equipment training packs to be supported on the same hardware.
  • Remote Operating Station (ROS), which enables realistic crane operations from a control room environment, providing semi-automated and fully automated solutions that integrate with original equipment manufacturer (OEM) control systems. The ROS allows operators to train on simulations while real equipment is in use or prior to commissioning. CM Labs customizes the simulation solution to match specific port environments, including lane configurations and delivery options, as well as vessel and equipment sizes.

CM Labs also provides premium customer support, warranty, and maintenance contracts, while the comprehensive line of training packs runs across its hardware, making it the go-to choice for port training and simulation needs.

CM Labs’ training solutions effectively address major industry concerns, prioritizing worker and environmental safety, enhancing productivity through effective training, and promote sustainability by reducing equipment wear and tear and emissions. The simulation solutions also assist in screening new hires and provide operators with data to enhance job placement and training experiences while maintaining their readiness for exceptional handling.
