CM Labs at TOC Europe 2018 – Stand D40 – Product Preview

Internal transfer vehicle (ITV) and forklift simulations to be featured alongside the full catalogue of Vortex port quayside and yard equipment training packs

At TOC Europe 2018 (Rotterdam, NL, June 12-14, stand D40), CM Labs Simulations will be showcasing their latest port quayside and yard training solutions, highlighting the safety and productivity improvements that Vortex® port simulators bring to terminals and training organizations worldwide.

Quayside and yard equipment training packs

For the first time anywhere, CM Labs will be demonstrating their all-new internal transfer vehicle (ITV) and forklift simulator training packs. The two training packs expand the breadth of Vortex-powered solutions, which can now simulate every step of the port workflow—from ship loading/unloading to horizontal transport to yard management.

“Terminal operators are realizing major returns on investments made in measurable simulation-based training,” said Nicolae Sterescu, CM Labs’ Port Solutions Product Manager. “Simply put, better-trained operators have fewer incidents and move more cargo.”

CM Labs will have their full line-up of port equipment training packs available to test drive at TOC, including quayside cranes, stacking equipment, and transport vehicles.

More details on the ITV and forklift training packs will be released leading up to the show.

Simulation-based training platforms

In Rotterdam, CM Labs will offer TOC attendees the opportunity to experience operating the Vortex Port Equipment Training Packs on industry-proven 3- and 10-screen Vortex simulator platforms.

Due to their unmatched, award-winning accuracy, CM Labs’ simulators make it possible for trainees to transfer their skills to the terminal more rapidly, while dramatically reducing the disruption that training can have on terminal operations.

Vortex port simulators include:
• Scalable solutions ranging from 3-screen desktop to fully immersive multi-display configurations to fit any budget
• Swappable OEM control sets so a single simulator can train on many types of equipment
• Hyper-realistic 3D visuals and terminal operations that immerse operators in the challenges of busy port operations
