Montreal, QC, January 9, 2019 — CM Labs Simulations, developer of Vortex® training simulators , today announced that its Motor Grader Simulator Pack has won a Top New Product award from the editors of Construction Equipment magazine.
The Top 100 New Products Award is the longest-running awards program of its kind in the industry, and goes to the most significant products launched each year. Awards focus on innovation, and highlight manufacturers who are investing in research and development (R&D). This R&D investment pays off for equipment users in the form of greater productivity, efficiency, and safety.
CM Labs’ training solution won the award in its capacity as the most advanced motor grader simulation available on the market today. Thanks to the training pack’s structured learning path, trainees can progress from basic controls familiarisation, to more advanced exercises, ranging from controls familiarisation to trailer loading and unloading, windrow management, material spreading, V-ditch operations, and more. The innovation that is built into the learning experience itself leads to real transferable skills.
Available for deployment on any Vortex simulator, the Motor Grader Simulator is powered by CM Labs’ Vortex Studio simulation and visualisation software. The engineering-grade grader simulation was rigorously field-tested by experienced operators and instructors from equipment manufacturers and top training schools.
“Motor graders are expensive and extremely complex for novices to operate, and therefore a natural candidate for simulator training,” said Julien Richer-Lanciault, CM Labs’ Construction Product Owner, Earthmoving Equipment. “That’s why we were so focused on providing the most advanced motor grader simulation on the market.”
Several hundred products were considered for the awards, and editors made their selections independently, drawing on their own experience with equipment technology and the equipment marketplace.
