DP World Jebel Ali Has Selected CM Labs Port Equipment Simulators to Train Terminal Yard Tractor and Forklift Drivers, as well as Crane Operators

CM Labs Simulations, developer of simulation-based training solutions, has announced that DP World’s flagship Jebel Ali Port, the largest marine terminal in the Middle East, will deploy Vortex® Port Equipment Simulators to train drivers and operators across its terminals.

The Vortex simulators will include customised modules for terminal yard tractor, empty container handler and forklift driver training. Thanks to their swappable controls, these same simulators will also include ship pedestal crane operator training. It includes the complete modelling of two terminals at Jebel Ali as well as terminal operations for an ultra-realistic busy virtual port environment.

Ranked the 10th largest container port worldwide, Jebel Ali is a gateway hub enabling trade for a region of more than two billion people. With Vortex simulators, Jebel Ali Port is set to measurably raise the bar for safety standards and operational efficiencies across its terminals. DP World has constantly pushed technological boundaries in terminal operations, with Jebel Ali being one of the most advanced ports in the world. The DP World flagship facility uses cutting edge technology in all its verticals, including at its highly regarded Operations Training Center.

“CM Labs’ Vortex port equipment simulators have a proven track record of enhancing safety and productivity,” says Arnold Free, CM Labs’ Chief Commercial Officer, “we are delighted to collaborate with DP World across three continents.”
