Crew Training

Crew Training is the ability to train multiple operators in the same virtual environment to complete a common task. This type of collaborative training can be difficult and dangerous to reproduce with real equipment, especially for new trainees, due to the potentially hazardous interactions between equipment and personnel.

In helping to develop communication skills between operators and other personnel on the worksite, Crew Training enables organizations to graduate operators that are better prepared for real-world productivity.

Crew training features

Crew Training for earthmoving - Fahrertraining

Crew training exercise for earthmoving

The crew training exercise for earthmoving enables an excavator operator to learn how to safely and efficiently fill an articulated dump truck, while another trainee learns how to operate the truck, interact with the excavator, and drive on various types of terrain.

The simulation reproduces critical machine reactions, such as motion of the dump truck when the dirt hits the trailer. These features allow operators to provide more accurate feedback, and develop positive communication habits that transfer to the real equipment.

Crew training exercise for lifting

Tandem lift simulation for Crawler Crane and Mobile Crane Training Packs teaches the lead crane operator how to safely and efficiently manoeuver a steel pipe load in tandem with a secondary crane, operated from another simulator connected on the network.

These training packs incorporate Smart Training Technology™. As a result, essential machine behaviors are simulated such as overturning risks, cable collisions, pendulums effect and more. It teaches operators how to work together while taking the crane’s capacity into consideration.
