The Intellia Workforce Training System expands with Tracked Excavator upgrades for demolition and trenching, new CDL Class A simulation curriculum, and web-based learning resources to drive scalable, consistent, and measurable operator development.
MONTREAL, QC – March 3, 2026 – CM Labs Simulations, the leading vendor of training solutions for construction and utilities, will showcase a wide range of innovative new releases and upgrades at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026, March 3–7 in Las Vegas at booth #N11839 in the North Hall.
During the event, CM Labs will demonstrate the expansion of the Intellia Workforce Training System, which includes updates to the Tracked Excavator simulation curriculum, with hydraulic hammer and shear jaw attachments for advanced demolition and trenching training. Other new additions include the introduction of CDL Class A Truck and Trailer curriculum tailored specifically for construction operators, along with trainee-focused, web-based resources and an AI Assistant designed to support both instructors and students.
“As construction organizations face tighter schedules, rising costs, and persistent workforce shortages, training has to be both realistic and repeatable,” said Lisa Barbieri, VP of Marketing and Strategic Partnerships. “At CONEXPO-CON/AGG, we are demonstrating how simulation-based training and structured programs work together to support construction and utilities organizations, helping trainees build real capability faster while giving leaders confidence in readiness across their teams.”
Experience the Next Generation of Operator Training
These latest advancements across simulation curriculum and system capabilities include:
The Tracked Excavator simulation curriculum introduces a major set of upgrades that deliver an immersive training experience aligned with real-world excavation, trenching, and demolition operations. Key additions include:
- New demolition attachments: A hydraulic hammer and shear jaw expand high-risk demolition training, enabling safe practice in concrete breaking and controlled steel cutting that reflects real jobsite demands.
- Advanced trenching scenarios with realistic soil behavior: A high-fidelity trenching environment with new sandy soil behavior allows crews to practice safe excavation, understand unstable soil response, and reduce collapse risks.
CM Labs debuts the CDL Class A Truck and Trailer simulation curriculum that enables operators to earn their CDL certification alongside construction equipment training. Delivered on a single simulator, it helps organizations streamline operations and standardize outcomes.
New capabilities include:
- Core maneuvers: Turning, backing, coupling and uncoupling, and yard work aligned with CDL testing standards.
- Road and highway driving: Realistic exam exercises and road conditions that reflect actual licensing requirements.
The Intellia Workforce Training System standardizes, manages, and scales simulation-based operator training. By connecting simulators, curriculum, and training management, it delivers consistent training with measurable results.
New capabilities include:
- Intellia Trainee: A web-based curriculum that accelerates self-directed learning, provides instructors with clear visibility into progress and readiness, and brings walkaround inspections online so trainees can practice anytime without using simulator time.
- AI Assistant: A voice-activated tool that answers questions and demonstrates maneuvers, keeping trainees on track while freeing instructors to focus on coaching and evaluation.
- Leaderboard functionality: A collaborative feature for competitive training environments that offers transparent performance tracking across cohorts.
