CMLabs announces availability of Vortex For Vega Prime

Powerful new software offering enables applications developers to build Vega Prime applications with full interactivity using physics-based dynamics.

December 1, 2003 — Orlando, FL. – Interservice/Industy Training, Simulation and Education Conference (I/ITSEC) — CMLabs, developers of Vortex, the premier physics engine for interactive simulations, today announced the availability of Vortex for Vega Prime, a complete physics-based dynamics extension to Vega Prime, MultiGen-Paradigm's realtime 3D application development and deployment environment. Fully integrated with the Vega Prime API, Vortex for Vega Prime is an easy-to-use tool that enables developers to incorporate high-fidelity motion models in a diverse range of interactive simulations.

Vortex for Vega Prime is a powerful tool for modeling and simulating motion and object interaction of ground vehicles and industrial machinery. The rich feature set includes fast and accurate collision detection, flexible collision types, rich joint and constraint libraries, and comprehensive vehicle dynamics and rigid-body mechanics. Users can easily attribute objects with physical properties like mass, inertia, center of mass, position, velocity, etc.

Vortex for Vega Prime is optimized for applications involving ground vehicles, articulated machinery, remotely operated and unmanned vehicles, robots for extreme environments and more.
