CMLABS ANNOUNCES VORTEX FOR VEGA PRIME V2.3

New release facilitates workflow with Vega Prime™ and adds features designed for greater interactivity.

Montreal, Quebec – September 29, 2004 — CMLabs, developers of Vortex, the most widely used physics engine for the visualization and simulation community, is pleased to announce the availability of v2.3 Vortex for Vega Prime. This release incorporates enhanced features designed to facilitate the workflow with Vega Prime™ as well as features designed for greater interactivity. This version is compatible with the latest release of Vega Prime v1.2.x.

The following list highlights the important changes:

  • integration with LynX Prime™ dramatically reduces programming effort: Models and entire simulations can be created and optimized via the graphical user interface.
  • prototyping made possible with support for keyboard-control in the LynX Prime display window.
  • terrain collision model provides deeper integration with Vega Prime, as well as improved vehicle behavior.
  • motion blending made possible with full interactivity between animated or user-controlled objects and dynamically simulated objects.
  • can select from multiple configurations that will solve for speed versus accuracy, to gain greater control over the fidelity of the application.
